MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational, Health & Safety or equivalent qualification
  • Three (3) years working experience in a similar capacity
  • Basic First Aid Training

 

CORE FUNCTION:

The Safety Officer is responsible for coordinating the implementation of safety programs that will eliminate hazards and unsafe conditions throughout the Company and enforce compliance with Company policies, government safety regulations and industry standards.

 

The successful candidate should also possess:

  • Expert knowledge of laws and regulations relating to Occupational Health & Safety
  • Expert knowledge of Safety Regulations and Procedures for equipment and bus mechanical /electrical operations
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of team dynamics
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet stringent deadlines
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to use sound judgment
  • Proven analytical skills, including ability to research and analyze data and develop recommendations and plans
