JUTC currently has exclusive rights to provide public transit service to the Kingston Metropolitan Transport Region (KMTR), which comprises Kingston, St. Andrew, Portmore and Spanish Town in St. Catherine.
The JUTC collaborates with private operators to provide supplemental services on select routes where operational challenges exist.

Follow the steps below to submit your sub-franchise application. Visit the JUTC Portmore Depot with all required documents.
Purchase an application package at the JUTC Greater Portmore Office. Complete and submit the application form with your vehicle documents to the JUTC Service Planning Department (Portmore Depot).

Renewing operators must visit the JUTC Service Planning Department at Portmore Depot with all updated documents before the expiry of their current franchise period.

Obtain a fresh Police Record. Obtain a new Structural Safety Report if required (cars 15+ yrs, buses 20+ yrs).

Companies must renew their Tax Compliance Certificate. All applicants must have a valid ID.
